Alabama Head Injury Foundation's mission is to improve the quality of life for people surviving Traumatic Brain Injury and for their family.

Support services and aid provided statewide include: Information and Referral; Local Resource Coordination provided by Certified Brain Injury Specialists; Financial Assistance; In-home Respite Care; Support Groups; Day Programs; Camp Sessions; Neurobehavior Clinics; and Accessible,affordable housing. Grant activity includes working with the Ala. Dept. of Rehabilitation to increase access to information, training and services for people with TBI and for those professionals who serve them. Safety and Prevention activity includes the AHIF "Car Seats For Kids" campaign which has distributed over 8,000 car seats to
Alabama children. Current Public Advocacy initiatives include Sports Concussion awareness and Brain Injury Awareness Month in March.

    This foundation has made it possible for my sister to live a normal life; and more importanly, an independent life through your assisted living facilities. I have never seen her happier than when she moved in, which would not have been possible without AHIF.
