Our Philosophy: Child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse are issues that must be addressed. The system intended to protect children should help children, not further traumatize them or cause a lack of trust.

The protection of children must include all agencies that are involved in the investigation and intervention of child abuse, and these agencies must work together.

This is the philosophy behind Children’s Advocacy Centers. It is this philosophy that sets the ANCAC apart from other organizations in the field of child maltreatment. Each year Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) across the state work to ensure the best interest of the child is kept at the forefront of the minds of all agencies involved during the investigation and through prosecution and beyond. CACs also ensure that therapeutic services are available to each child abuse victim to promote healing and wellbeing in each child.
