PROMISE HOMES INC

The purpose of Promise Homes is to provide not just a place to live, but a real family where intellectually disabled adults can live as independently as possible with pride and dignity.

Promise Homes has three group homes in Gadsden, AL, six in Decatur, AL and are in the planning stages of building a new facility in Birmingham, AL near Bluff Park United Methodist Church.

We are an advance special of the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church, and are a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit. Formerly United Methodist Residential Alternatives, or UMRA, Promise Homes was established in 1994.

Promise Homes homes serves the intellectually disabled and their families across Alabama with homes located in the Decatur, AL area, 35601, 35602, 35603, 35609, 35699, the Gadsden, AL area, 35901, 35902, 35903, 35904, 35905, 35906, 35907, and the Birmingham AL area, 35226, 35244.
