Provide services for homeless veterans while transitioning into affordable housing. Serving those who have served our nation.
Nearly 125 veterans have been through our program. Over 500 helped on the streets this year. We have made 783 trips to the VA hospital, we have prepared (many times with your help) 32,850 meals, nearly 11,000 individual nights of
sleep off the streets, the list could go on and on.
We have done a lot in 2011 - we have done it all with your help. We could easily kick back and pat ourselves on the back for all we have accomplished. Yet - the reality is - we
have only begun to scratch the surface of the problem.
I often have to remind myself - it is not where we have been - it is where we are going. What can we do with 2012? How many more of our veterans can we help? How many houses can we open for independent living? How many families can be reconciled because of what we can do? The questions of our possibilities are as endless as the abilities we each have to offer. The secret is to use our abilities to deliver on the possibilities.
So folks - let's enjoy this season of festivities as we begin a new year - then sweep up the confetti of celebration, take down the lights and trees - put them in storage until next year - then get ready to jump back in to the battles that await us all in 2012. The canvas is blank - you bring the brushes - and let's get started on a master piece.
