Mission

Empowering youth leadership through community service.

Programs

Urban Service Camps- three week-long sessions that engage teens in local community service, urban hikes downtown, leadership and diversity training, and lots of fun!

Community Action- monthly and weekly opportunities for teens to perform community service at a Birmingham non-profit, while learning about the organization and meeting new friends from all over the greater Birmingham area.

Service Education- an in-school service learning program that teaches 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th graders the importance of community service and empowers them to make a difference!

Youth Philanthropy Council- A group of 15 area teens who learn about the giving of your time, treasure, and talent (pHilanTHRopY!) to better the community AND then grant $20,000 to local organizations.

Youth Action Council- a leadership council in which students plan the monthly and weekly volunteer opportunities-- and help lead the events!

    Collaborating with YouthServe on many different projects throughout the Birmingham area has been awesome. If you are looking to donate to an organization that helps to engage youth volunteers, then look no further. All of the staff at YouthServe are great to work with.
