BIRMINGHAM YOUTH SERVICE CORPS
A Birmingham-based organization that engages teens, ages 13-18, in community service projects, summer camps, and leadership opportunities!
Empowering youth leadership through community service.
Urban Service Camps- three week-long sessions that engage teens in local community service, urban hikes downtown, leadership and diversity training, and lots of fun!
Community Action- monthly and weekly opportunities for teens to perform community service at a Birmingham non-profit, while learning about the organization and meeting new friends from all over the greater Birmingham area.
Service Education- an in-school service learning program that teaches 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th graders the importance of community service and empowers them to make a difference!
Youth Philanthropy Council- A group of 15 area teens who learn about the giving of your time, treasure, and talent (pHilanTHRopY!) to better the community AND then grant $20,000 to local organizations.
Youth Action Council- a leadership council in which students plan the monthly and weekly volunteer opportunities-- and help lead the events!
